Ideal for a variety of baked recipes, terracotta is widely believed to be the secret ingredient that enhances the flavor of the dishes prepared in it. Terracotta means baked earth. The clay used in the making of these roasters has a notably high porosity, and its attributes remain unaltered by fire or heat. As for care and maintenance, we recommend soaking it for about 3 hours in water and then placing it in a pre-heated oven for 1 to 2 hours at 350°F before the first use.
